30 Day Challenge: Day 3

Day 3: One, some, or all of your friends

My best friend: Jessie! She's the best thing that happened to me and a massive Star Trek fan (which I fail to understand still xD). Really, really fast sketch since a lot happened today that made me forget about this D:
I was meant to send in a late application to university through UCAS but decided against it after nearly three weeks of consideration. I just prefer to have that extra year to get ready to face uni c:

Selling Art

I only really ever sold digital work. Commissions rather than physical work. However, I have a small pile of work that I want to sell, due to the fact that I don't have anything to do with them. My storage space is limited, so I thought: you know what? Let's sell some art.
They're all on cartridge paper, so they'd need to be framed. Well, they don't need to, they could just go up on walls with a bit of tape. It's a choice I had to make when deciding to sell  - if I should've ordered some frames to sell the work in. I've decided against it, mostly because I'm not selling prints but the original work and the prices would be higher if I had to do it. It'd be up to the buyer if they wanted to frame it.
Another decision I had to make is where to sell them - eBay, Etsy or just promote it on blogs and send invoices out through PayPal? For now, it would be the latter - and maybe move onto eBay/Etsy if there is interest.
Just comment or message me if you're interested or would like to make an offer or something. Also prices don't include postage and packaging - that would depend where it would be sent.

30 Day Challenge: Day 2

Day 2: Someone you like (celebrity, significant other or crush)

Carrie Hope Fletcher! I consider YouTubers as internet celebrites so I picked her. Plus she's an actress soo :P She's always so positive and nice and is one of my biggest inspirations :) It was a lot of fun to draw her curly mess of hair and try to capture her happiness in a sketch.

Why I'll Never Use Coloured Pencils Again

Let me tell you a thing: I haven't used coloured pencils in a good few months, maybe even a year, to make art. I'm mostly a digital artist now with painting and tonal drawings for my A Level Art. Today I looked at my pitiful stash of coloured pencils that looked all sad and unused. So I thought - hey let's do something big to fix that.
I picked up an A2 piece of paper. A2. And started drawing.
I just finished it a few minutes ago and let me tell you oh my god my poor hand. Also I no longer own any black pencils because of reasons seen below. Note to self: never, ever draw anything that big ever again when using coloured pencils. It hurts your heart and soul as well as your hand.
The finished piece:

This is a bad photo as it's 11:30pm and the lighting in my bedroom is bad. But oh well. I'm tempted to go over the black background with paint to make it more smooth. After all that trouble. But that's a job for tomorrow after I get some sleep.
There is a recurring theme of ram-horned girls in my art in the past few months. Not too sure why, but here it is. I've done two more pieces with ram-horned girls (and flowers!) a few months earlier, not too sure of the dates. They differ slightly from the piece I've done today: mostly because they're smaller than A4 and didn't destroy my wrist when I tried to make them. Ow.

30 Day Challenge: Day 1

Day 1: Yourself or your persona

This is me, or how I see myself anyway. With music and drawing. It's a quick drawing, as I want to practise quick sketches and I'm quite happy with it. It kind of looks like me - sort of. It's very much exaggerated - my bum is not that big! I'm not the thinnest of people but still, I do have a figure I'm happy with which is why I'm comfortable with drawing myself like this :)

Blog Start and Drawing Challenge

So I've decided that Tumblr is not enough for me as an artist and that blogging the classic way is the new cool thing. So here I am and I've decided that this will be dedicated to my art and improving it. Just showcasing what I'm doing. I'll try to update at least weekly except for one thing: the 30 Day Drawing Challenge I found on Tumblr.
Basically I want to be better at quick drawings and sketches, doing small ideas. I thought a drawing challenge would be perfect and I found this one that I'll try to do starting today:
